Master Of The Marinara

Delicious Marinara Sauce? CHECK!
(James A. Berry please make note of the pot I am using!!)

3 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1.5 chopped onions
5 whole cloves garlic
2 cans whole tomatoes
3 Tbs Basil Paste
2 Tbs Sugar (maybe a little less?)
-Saute onions & garlic in oil until tender
-Stir in basil paste & salt
-Add tomatoes & simmer for 3 hours or until tomatoes are broken down completely
-Add the sugar 
-Salt until bitterness is out
-Use immersion blender til smooth (potato smasher would work fine too, but will be chunky)
